Answer 1 :
sure, but why spend all that money unnecessarily for your first two years when most states have great community colleges you can attend for practically nothing? It's the same fresh soph education... unless you don't CARE how you spend your parents money, or worse, you OWN money. Companies don't really care WHERE you went to school, only where you GRADUATED from. go to comm coll fresh and soph, continue to get good grades and transfer to any school you want. that will also give you time to apply for some grant money.
Answer 2 :
It depends on the grades of the others who are applying there, that is your real competition. Apply for grants or scholarships. Perhaps a track or cross country scholarship would be good. Good luck. Don't slack off this last semester. some schools will want to see what you did this second half of the school year.
Answer 3 :
I think you definitely have a good shot. The application process is very subjective, so please don't forget that. Also, the person who said that it doesn't matter where you go, but only where you graduated from is slightly incorrect. It really depends on where you apply. I'm not sure on what you plan on studying, but exclusive jobs my look down upon you for attending a community college first. The courses may be the same, but your experience will not be. Most technical jobs are merit based, but if you plan on doing something such as business, etc., then please network your butt off. It won't matter if you have a 4.0. Without networking, you'll become the manager at the nearest McDonald's (really not bad, Mickey Ds promises positive margins within the first year). Anyway, you get my point. Never sell yourself short. I don't know your financial situation, but apply to some reach schools as well. You want to go to college where the situation suits your needs.

Go! Your friends and family will be just fine. You will need to move forward with your own life at some point. There are all kinds of means for staying in touch. It is nice that you are concerned about their feelings...but you must also be concerned about "growing up" and moving on with your own life.

Going to college in Glenwood Springs, Colorado what kind of car should I get

Going to college in Glenwood Springs, Colorado what kind of car should I get?
So I will be going to Colorado Mountain College next fall. Planning on buying a car sometime in January. My dad says a Subaru would be best but they are kind of pricey. So what do you think? Glenwood Springs is about 160 miles west of Denver. The college is about 20 mins south of Glenwood Springs.

Answer 1 :
I agree with your dad, a Subaru would be best simply because they are the cheapest cars with all wheel drive, which is good for the mountains and snow, but anything that has all wheel drive will be a good vehicle for you.
Answer 2 :
Subaru are great but their resale value makes a used on pricey try a ford Taurus or 2cd some Toyota both are pretty good for your kind of driving
Answer 3 :
Just be sure it’s American or European because the quality of Japanese and Korean cars has been going down hill faster than a run-away train in recent years so avoid anything from Japan or Korea, they have high repair costs and often need to have parts ordered instead of being in stock like American cars will and that will leave you with nothing to drive while you wait for ordered parts to come in. They also don’t last as long as American or European cars. Even the ones “assembled” in America are built with low quality imported Japanese parts. That fact being said I suggest a Chevy Camaro, Pontiac Solstice, Corvette or Ford Mustang for sports cars. Chevy Cruz, Chevy Cobalt, Chevy Malibu Ford Focus Ford Fiesta and Ford Fusion for practical cars. Cadillac, Buick LeSabre Buick Park Avenue, Lincoln for comfort and luxury. Jeep Liberty or Jeep Cherokee for off road fun. If you prefer an imported car go with Mercedes, Audi, Holden, Vauxhall or VW they will be a LOT more reliable than Japanese or Korean.
