What do you know about Colorado College

What do you know about Colorado College?
What's the weather like? Have you gone through the Block Plan? What are the dorms like? Is there a relatively large variety of people? Any information (or links) would be much appreciated!

What kind of college is the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs

What kind of college is the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs?
Is it a good college to study English or Psychology? And how does it compare to the University of Colorado at Boulder and the University of Colorado at Denver? And how difficult is it to get in?

I've always been a strong believer in the fact that it's still the University of Colorado so you're still getting an education that's basically the same as the other two places. At the Denver campus, it is more of a commuter campus, and a lot of students have jobs so teachers may be more sympathetic & patient with other circumstances. I personally wouldn't live in the student housing on the Denver campus, but then again I think I'm pretty picky and I know students who are pretty happy living there. Boulder is pretty hard-core, they really expect students to focus on their education, and walking on campus there I feel pretty lost, but I've never been a student there so I'm sure that explains it! It's a pretty expensive school & campus & town in general too. The Springs campus is really a good balance of both in my opinion. I have heard that it's easier to get into the Springs campus than Boulder, but I'm not sure that's true. I also know kids who were told by high school counselors that there's no way they could get into Boulder, but they got in just fine. My sister got a psych degree from Denver campus and was content there (though traffic onto campus frustrated her.) I don't know as much about the psych program at Springs but I think it's pretty good. It'd also be a good place to study English I think! Overall, I would recommend any of the campuses, and probably Springs over Denver, but definitely Springs or Denver over Boulder!

No, it would be a very long drive + traffic, I'd say about 2 1/2 hours, at least Boulder is about 100 miles from the university of Colorado at Colorado Springs. Why don't you find a place to Colorado Springs itself?
2 :
VERY Far...but good luck...
3 :
2-3 hours drive on a good day
4 :
It will be a long drive, and definitely not worth it.
5 :
like rad?

Yes, this is indeed a very serious response. IMHO, if you are a SINGLE person please for the love of (insert your deity) DO NOT MOVE HERE! This is a terrible place for single folks. You will not fit in here as a single person. This place is geared towards two things: the military (I'm a five year veteran of the Marine Corps, btw 2000-2005 so no Im not anti-military) and freaking families and their 3,4,5 and six year olds. I'm serious, go into Wal-Mart of Target and all you'll see are younger couples in their 30s with their little kids!

This would be an awful idea as you are looking at a commute of about an hour and a half to two and a half hours depending on traffic. I would just recommend applying to Boulder instead, Colorado Springs is boringggggg

My dad wants me to go to college in Colorado but I want to go to California?
My dad says he's paying for it so he choose but there is like no difference in price between University of Colorado and the University of California. He just wants me to stay in Colorado. Why are parents like this, I will never be like this with my kids.

Why would you want to go to California, its like a 3rd world country.
2 :
I know. Parents are crazy... you don't need his money, take out loans. He'll come around.
3 :
you better not be.
4 :
well you can choose to either go to the school he is willing to pay for or you can finance your own education in california. he is looking out for your best interest
5 :
They are both Democrat cesspools where the universities are ripe and seething with liberal indoctrination so the snow is the only real difference. Is it possible the deciding factor is that your parents want you to be closer to home in case you need some kind of help ?
6 :
HI ADAM,,honey win you have to pay all the bills you will,b like your dad,,mayb he just wants you close to home, theres a lot of kids out there who have no dads to help them,,PEACE
7 :
Discuss it with yur dad about how badly you really want to go there . If he sees your determination he might say yes. :)
8 :
No difference in price? Are you a resident of Colorado? I've attached a link for out of state tuition for California. I question your comment that it would be the same cost. Out of state tuition is usually much more. Plus you will then have housing expense. Ultimately if you expect him to pay, you must compromise. You could attend CO and then transfer at a later time so you both may win. His choice may be simply cost and you have to respect that unless you intend to pay for it yourself or through loans that will put you in debt before you even get started in life.
9 :
Parents often want their children to attend a college closer due to a variety of reasons..having a talk with your father and see what you both can compromise on.
10 :
If your father is paying for you to go to college, let him choose the school he's paying for. I just checked tuition at a second tier school, GVSU. For your information, tuition here is $395.00 per credit hour. Multiply that out for sixteen credit hours per semester. Then add in books and fees. Can you afford that?
11 :
Recommend in state tuition will allow for books and other expenses.
