What college in Colorado has the best science programs and classes

What college in Colorado has the best science programs and classes?
After I get out of the navy or air force, depending on where I end up, I will be going straight to college to be a forensic scientist. Like Abby in the TV show NCIS who processes all of the criminal evidence in the lab. I prefer to spend some time with my family while I'm in college, so I won't listen to suggestions about colleges out-of-state. Thank you in advance for your advice!

sure, but why spend all that money unnecessarily for your first two years when most states have great community colleges you can attend for practically nothing? It's the same fresh soph education... unless you don't CARE how you spend your parents money, or worse, you OWN money. Companies don't really care WHERE you went to school, only where you GRADUATED from. go to comm coll fresh and soph, continue to get good grades and transfer to any school you want. that will also give you time to apply for some grant money.

It depends on the grades of the others who are applying there, that is your real competition. Apply for grants or scholarships. Perhaps a track or cross country scholarship would be good. Good luck. Don't slack off this last semester. some schools will want to see what you did this second half of the school year.

I think you definitely have a good shot. The application process is very subjective, so please don't forget that. Also, the person who said that it doesn't matter where you go, but only where you graduated from is slightly incorrect. It really depends on where you apply. I'm not sure on what you plan on studying, but exclusive jobs my look down upon you for attending a community college first. The courses may be the same, but your experience will not be. Most technical jobs are merit based, but if you plan on doing something such as business, etc., then please network your butt off. It won't matter if you have a 4.0. Without networking, you'll become the manager at the nearest McDonald's (really not bad, Mickey Ds promises positive margins within the first year). Anyway, you get my point. Never sell yourself short. I don't know your financial situation, but apply to some reach schools as well. You want to go to college where the situation suits your needs.

Go! Your friends and family will be just fine. You will need to move forward with your own life at some point. There are all kinds of means for staying in touch. It is nice that you are concerned about their feelings...but you must also be concerned about "growing up" and moving on with your own life.
