It's down between those schools for me. I have to respond by Saturday! D: best answer for most thorough explanation. This is my future we're talking about, after all. :)

Does Colorado College have a bad reputation

Does Colorado College have a bad reputation?
Today I told my mom that I wanted to look at Colorado College as my top choice school, but she immediately put me down and said it had a reputation as a school for "rich flunkies who couldn't get in anywhere better." Is this true? I was attracted to the college for the block plan, beautiful location, and generally hearing good things about the education and people. I take AP and honors classes with about a 3.5 gpa and have a love of the outdoors so I thought it would be a good fit.

thats up in steamboat then.. fuck yeah do it it doesnt matter as long as you have a good time and get a good education. And make sure you can pay for a ski pass i might see you up on the slopes haha
2 :
Outside of Colorado, I don't think it has any reputation. It is certainly not a well known or nationally recognized University so I would say it doesn't have any reputation, good or bad. Sorry.

here are the ratings http://74.125.95.132/search?q=cache:K-1WB9cpko0J:www.epinions.com/reviews/educ-Colleges_and_Universities-All-Colorado_College+colorado+college+rating&cd=4&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us

is that a college?

Your mother is flat wrong on this issue. Colorado College is one of the finest schools in the USA and you could get an excellent education there. It is expensive. They accept about 25% of applicants - very competitive. Grads go on to all of the finest graduate programs - Yale, Stanford, Columbia, Princeton, etc. US News rates it as 24th nationally among liberal arts colleges.

How would I go about becoming a member of the Electoral College in Colorado

How would I go about becoming a member of the Electoral College in Colorado?
Please don't remind me about Amendment 36. I want to be an elector in the 2008 presidential election. How do I do that? I already know about 2004's Amendment 36 and the flaws associated with the Electoral College.

Don't you know about Amendment 36?

the electoral college is bad. I do not know how you can call it a vote of the people when its is going to be up to about 400 college members anyways.
3 :
To become an elector, you must be selected by your party or by the candidate, absent a party. The integrity of the selected people is to be above reproach. Without years and years of substantive conduct, there is little likelihood any person could be selected. Should you wish to become an elector, you must be accepted as a person of immense honor. My hope is that you can make it! Good luck.
