Which areas on Colorado are the closest and most accessible to a nearby 2 year college

Which areas on Colorado are the closest and most accessible to a nearby 2 year college?
For example, if someone is coming from out of state to attend college, then that person would obviously want to be near a school rather than far from a school, does anyone have any ideas on what would be some areas where it would be possible to attend school? And which are some areas, where if a room for rent was offered, the student would probably want to turn down, due to NO SCHOOLS being anywhere near it ? Just curious , thanks ?

See page 11 of this from Front Range Community College for an example. Not sure I am reading it correctly, but it looks like 386.20/credit hour. http://www.frontrange.edu/uploadedFiles/Academic/Catalog/FRCC%20Catalog%202008-09%20web.pdf

What kind of college is the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs?
Is it a good college to study English or Psychology? And how does it compare to the University of Colorado at Boulder and the University of Colorado at Denver? And how difficult is it to get in?

You can find a lot of this information on their website. You might also want to contact their admissions department directly to ask some of your questions. From their website it seems they are ranked high in engineering and various creative & research fields. Due to proximity to military and Olympic training facilities, there are alot of military and athlete students. They are also one of the fastest growing universities in the west. It sounds like a good school to aim for. Good luck!

There are many colleges and universities in California which are much more prestigious in these fields than any in Colorado, with the possible exception of geology, etc. (Colorado College of Mines).
