I'm thinking of moving to Colorado once I graduate from college, any suggestions of where or other advice?
I am a 23 year old college student in Eau Claire, WI and I am thinking about moving to Colorado once I graduate. I've been doing some research on different cities, and so far I like the look of Boulder. But if you have a different suggestion or some advice.

23 & from Wis? well its pretty hard to get any better than Boulder... its got the scenery & outdoors of Wis only better & enough to do in nature & city to satisfy any 23 year old... only drawbacks are that it does have a winter much like you already see in Wis, only with skiing nearby (yay!) & that the housing is expensive... i came from northeast Iowa & decided on further south in Pueblo area, but that is more desert & a far cry from the greenry of Iowa & Wisconsin... My reasons for this part of Colorado was looking for 100K range population city, cheap housing (very similar to Iowa), low crime rate (Co Springs is bad & so is Denver - check FBI website for stats), & no need for a snowblower... We get snow but always gone in 24-48 hours & all winter am 30 minutes from snow in Mountains... If you got the $$ & dont mind the snow then Boulder is awesome... probably one of the top 10 in USA in my opinion...

Howdy, fellow Wisconsinite! I'm from Milwaukee and moved to Colorado Springs 2 years ago. It's beautiful here, and the weather in Colorado is much nicer than Wisconsin. Lower humidity and lots more sunshine. Boulder is a great city too. It is quite expensive, though. But if money isn't a factor, I'd say go for it. Lots of great trails and really close to the mountains. Good luck!
