I'm looking at this college and so far I love everything about it: -The block plan looks awesome. -It's a great school for biology, which is what I love, but it also has great other opportunities. -I really want to go out west for college. BUT, I'm wondering if this place is hard to fit in because of the intensity of the block plan?

Colorado College was just voted one of the "Happiest" Colleges in the U.S. Some of the reasons for this distinction was the number of student clubs and organizations. The school is a smaller liberal arts, and there tends to be a higher level of student commodary than other institutions. You'd actually be choosing an excellent school for making friends. Since the block plan allows for short periods of focus on a subject, it gives just as much time as other schools for social activities. Often times the social activities are interwoven with what you are learning in the class room.
